General Tendencies for All Sun Signs

August 1 and August 16, 2008
We usually get 2 sets of 2 eclipses (solar and lunar) every year, and this year our eclipses are occurring in Aquarius and Leo. Eclipses mean changes, so Leo and Aquarius, its your year! Eclipses are about 10 times more powerful than a typical Full or New Moon. If an eclipse lands on your birthday, then you are probably going to be dealing with changes for the full year until your next birthday.
Our first eclipse on August 1st is a solar eclipse in Leo. Solar eclipses usually bring new beginnings, and Leo’s love to be noticed. If you are thinking of any kind of public projects like web sites, advertising, entertainment, or even parties, then this is the time to launch. If you have a message that you want to share with the world, then send it up like fireworks on August 1st.
Mercury will be close to the Sun and the Moon on August 1st, but technically it will not be conjunct. So, there will be no other planets aspecting this eclipse. But, Venus and Neptune will be off arguing in another part of the zodiac at the same time, and that could effect our judgments (especially Taurus, Libra, and Pisces). The whole weekend from August 1st through August 3rd should be an excellent time for parties and entertainment. It would also be an excellent time for vacations, so if you have some time available, take it and enjoy!
The lunar eclipse on August 16th will conjunct Neptune presently in Aquarius, and all the major planets except Uranus and Saturn will be making aspects to each other from Friday, August 15th, through Sunday, August 17th. Talk about changes. There will be all kinds of them on this weekend. Neptune touching this eclipse will increase our sensitivity and our worries. Intuitions will be off the scale during this eclipse, so if your are thinking of scheduling a reading with your favorite psychic, this would be the time to get the answers and clarity you desire. It may also help to put some of those worries at ease.
Pluto, the explosive planet, and Mars, energy and sex, will be fighting with one another throughout this ecliptic weekend. We may find ourselves acting on some of those worries and creating fights and arguments. But, Mercury and Venus are going to tag Saturn and then wave at Jupiter at the same time. This means logical and optimistic thoughts and good social relations.
So, basically we are going to have a hodge-podge of energies going on at the same time. There will be worries, but there will also be strong intuitions, if we know how to trust them. There will also be fights erupting and jealousy. And, then there will be situations where people are social and communicative. And then, in the middle of all this energy comes a lunar eclipse.
The picture I am seeing is a party with people talking and socializing, and some really great musicians entertaining us. There is romance over in a few corners where lovers are snuggling and kissing. Outside, the testosterone is raging, and there is a fight in the parking lot. And, then right in the middle of the party, in the middle of the dance floor, an angel manifests… Wow!
Its going to be an active month, and there will be changes in store for all of us, no matter what our sun sign is. We may find its time to take a new look at our hopes, our friends, and our goals. Some of us may decide to take a new look at our spiritual beliefs, and others may pickup a new craft. And, especially with Leo and Aquarius involved, it is very likely we will make some new long-term friends.
Okay, now its time to check your natal charts. You need to look at your major planets and your power points (ascendant, descendant, mid-heaven, and nadir), and see where the eclipses line up with them. Looking at the solar eclipse on August 1st, if you have any major planets/power points from 7 degrees to 11 degrees in Leo, Sagittarius, and Aries, get ready for the time of your life. But, if you have any planets/points from the same degrees in Taurus, Scorpio, or Aquarius, you may find your changes requires a sacrifice of some kind. Looking at the lunar eclipse on August 16th, if you have any planets/points between 22 and 26 degrees in Leo, Sagittarius, or Aries, you may really be fed up with the lack of spirituality in your life and ready to look at life from a deeper perspective. And, planets or power points between the same degrees in Taurus, Scorpio, or Aquarius, could bring a loss. It could turn out to be a lesson in forgiveness. Any aspects with the eclipses to your power points will be the most powerful. Aspects with inner planets (mars and closer) will have a more profound effect than aspects with outer planets. Again, which planet or point these eclipses are aspecting will determine what part of your life will be affected. Also check which of your houses the eclipses will be occurring in to determine how they will affect you.

June 14 - November 26, 2008
I don’t talk much about Pluto transits, because Pluto is a very slow outer planet that takes about 250 years to make one orbit around the Sun. Pluto is in retrograde motion almost as much as he is moving direct, but this Pluto retrograde is special. This will be Pluto’s last adventure in Sagittarius for our lifetimes, and our children’s and grandchildren’s lifetimes. And, its all happening just in time for the 2008 presidential elections.
Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth, and he digs deep to uncover secrets. I wonder how our elections will turnout? Presently we are seeing more documentaries and news programs exposing the truth about the voting corruption in the 2000 presidential elections. Also, we are being educated about the decisions made in the White House, the CIA, and the Military concerning our involvement in the war in Iraq. When planets are on the cusps between signs, they are the most touchy. Pluto has been in Sagittarius since 1995, but now (2007 and 2008), as he crosses into Capricorn, is when we are seeing the big flare-ups.
Pluto actually left Sagittarius and entered Capricorn back on January 25th, but he turned retrograde in April and is now moving back into Sagittarius for the last time. Its time for one last dance, one last adventure, before Pluto moves to a more serious focus. Sagittarius loves to laugh and wander, but Capricorn represents hard work and discipline. Pluto’s last few months in Sagittarius may bring us to a higher awareness, especially at a community level. A few heroes could emerge as Pluto traverses his eleventh hour in Sagittarius, and we may actually rescue ourselves from some of the government corruption that has been going on since Nixon. We may decide to stand up and take responsibility for our governments.
Pluto will enter Capricorn just a few months before our next president will take office. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was in the 1760’s and the 1770’s. Capricorn represents authority figures, and Pluto brings destruction and rebirth — the American Revolution. There was also the French Revolution and the establishment of Napoleon as a modern dictator. I wonder how Pluto in Capricorn will affect our next president and congress? Don’t forget to vote!
Obviously, Pluto will be at 29 degrees Sagittarius throughout most of this transit, so its time to look at your natal chart. Any planets or power points at 29 degrees (plus or minus 2 degrees) in Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini, or Virgo will be dealing with endings and beginnings. If you have any planets or power points at 29 degrees (plus or minus 2 degrees) in Aries or Leo, you may find you are able to make powerful changes in your life at this time.

May 26 - June 19, 2008
Mercury will be turning backwards in his home sign of Gemini. Gemini’s have a tendency to get scattered anyway, and with Mercury backing up on them, many of us may find it very difficult to make a decision. Gemini (and Mercury) rules the third house of siblings and short trips. There could be problems with neighbors, and for those of us traveling during Mercury’s retrograde, no matter which route we plan, we’re going to hit detours.
Mercury will begin his retrograde while fighting with Uranus in Pisces. There could be a battle between the physical and the metaphysical here. Mercury in Gemini is so logical, and Uranus in Pisces is looking for an alternative spiritual path. The first week of Mercury’s retrograde could also bring sudden arguments and accidents. Use caution driving.
Gemini’s love to talk, and Mercury in Gemini will amplify this pattern. Once we get past the argument with Uranus, this retrograde could prove to be an excellent time to hash out and re-discuss past behaviors. Mercury retrograde is always a great time for ghost hunting, and Gemini will increase the frequency. There could be lots of messages coming through from the other side, so take notes!
Mercury will also switch from being an evening star to a morning star (for those of us with clear enough horizons to see it) as the Sun and Venus cross him. From June 6 - 9, even though Mercury doesn’t know which way to go, Venus, the Sun, and Mars will be reassuring him. We may get lost, but we’ll have fun in the process.
Mercury will turn around (direct station) on June 19. Mercury’s direct station is usually the most difficult day of the whole retrograde, and this day may be especially difficult with the Sun and Venus at a standoff with the Moon and Pluto. Not only will Mercury bring miscommunications, Internet problems, and travel problems around that day, there will also be lots jealousy and fear in our minds. Some could be rather passionate around this time, and sex could be a driving force.
Mercury will traverse his retrograde from 21 degrees to 13 degrees Gemini. So, now its time to check your natal charts. If you have any planets or power points between 11 and 23 degrees in Virgo or Pisces, this retrograde could bring delays and obstacles (depending on the planet). If you have any planets between 11 and 23 degrees in Sagittarius, you may feel like your optimism is drained. And, if you have planets in the same degrees in Gemini, you won’t know which way to go. Or at least, you may want to postpone any major decisions until Mercury is moving forward again.

March 23 - May 30, 2008
Pluto is the planet of extremes and powerful transformations, and Saturn is the planet of organization, discipline, ambition, and hard work. The last time this aspect occurred was 1996 - 1997. During that time Bill Clinton won his second term as president, the unibomber was arrested and convicted, O.J. was found liable in his civil suit, and the Heaven’s Gate cult committed mass suicide. It looks as though people were standing by their convictions rather strongly at that time, even some chose to die for them.
When these two planets work together it can deepen concentration and increase our ambitions. Self-confidence will increase, and hopefully our principles will too. Saturn and Pluto are slow outer planets, so aspects between them will affect us more on a community level rather than on a personal. We may see corporate or even governmental changes during this time.
When the trine occurred back in 1996, they were both in fire signs, Pluto in Sagittarius, and Saturn in Aries. Pluto is still in Sagittarius, but Saturn has moved all the way to Leo. They are both in fire signs again, but Leo is a fixed sign and Sagittarius is mutable. We don’t have any cardinal signs to initiate change, so we may find that this time will not be as dynamic as 10 years ago. We may decide this time to hold fast to what we know, and use this energy to strengthen our beliefs. But, we still have to be on guard for fanaticism. Its really not worth dying for.
We are on the third and last phase of this aspect. The previous two times occurred during the winter of 2006 and the summer of 2007. Saturn and Pluto will not be trine (120 degrees apart) again until 2030. This phase will probably be the most powerful of the three because Mercury, the Sun, and then Venus will be joining the harmony to create a grand trine in late April and early May.
From March 23 through mid April the effects of Saturn and Pluto will probably be felt at a more subconscious level. We may find that our willpower is stronger, but we should notice that our governments are moving to action. Pluto brings up secrets, and Saturn is the universe’s policeman. So, these two may bring some corruption to light for our politicians (and that includes those corporate politicians) to deal with.
Around April 18, Mercury will join the triangle, and this could bring some extra energy and some extra ideas to our lives. We will probably be ready to initiate new projects, and short vacations will be grand for the next few days. The Sun will add his tenor to the chord on April 19 and things should be quite grand through Monday, April 21. It would be an excellent weekend for travel, and for projects. Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus will be adding a second melody at the same time, so just about anything we attempt will succeed.
Mars, Venus, and Jupiter will be coming to a T-square just a couple of days after the grand trine, so things may go downhill the week after your fabulous weekend. But, Venus will step up to reconnect the triangle on April 30 and the melody will continue through Friday, May 2. This could bring a new seriousness to our relationships, and we will be ready to beautify our surroundings. Venus also rules money, so it will be an excellent time for investing and gambling.
The trine will continue through May 30, but it will never come to an exact peak degree, because Saturn is presently retrograde, and he will turn direct on May 2 before he comes to the exact degree of the trine. So, we should not notice nearly as many of the effects of the Saturn-Pluto trine after May 2.
Saturn will in retrograde be from 3 to 2 degrees Virgo, and Pluto will hold pretty steady at 1 degree Capricorn (because it will be turning retrograde early in April). Check your natal chart. If you have any planets between 0 and 5 degrees in Sagittarius, Pisces, or Gemini, this aspect may be more difficult for you. Which natal planet in your chart being affected will determine what aspect of your life it will upset. Also, check your houses to see what areas will be affected. If you are interested in knowing more, you can order a Transit Report.

March 6 through June 12, 2008
Jupiter is the planet of good-luck and expansion, and Uranus is the independent thinker and brings sudden unexpected events. Sextiles are considered positive, but we have to put some work in it on our parts. But, when Uranus is involved, there really is no positive or negative. Uranus likes to surprise us, bad and good.
When I took a look back in history to see what had happend during the last Jupiter Uranus sextile from April 15 to May 2 1999, I was surprised to find out that the Columbine massacre had occurred. But, Saturn and Neptune were also at a square at that time, and Neptune could have brought delusions about authority figures (Saturn). So, I went back farther in history to the previous Jupiter Uranus sextile from October 28 through November 15, 1994. Thomas Nicely reported a bug in Intel’s new Pentium-processor on the Internet. Susan Smith who claimed her 2 kids were carjacked was arrested for murder. And, a 6.7 - 8.1 earthquake struck the Philippines killing 45 people. Uranus brings the unexpected, no matter how much good-luck Jupiter tries to send.
Jupiter and Uranus sextile will bring new perspectives to old ideas. Our enthusiasm may be amplified and we may find ourselves expressing a need for freedom. People will be rather original, but some of us will be just plain tricky. Some of us could see some very rapid gains, especially if this aspect is affecting one of our power points or one of our inner natal planets. In general, aspects between 2 outer planets affect us more on a community level, so we may see some sudden new ideas from our politicians.
Uranus is presently in transit in Pisces, and Jupiter is in Capricorn. Pisces is the universe’s great humanitarian, and Capricorn loves to work. So, we may find ourselves inspired at our jobs during this time, or we may want to put some extra energy into volunteer work. We will have the optimism and stamina to really accomplish a few things, if we want to. Maybe we will have a very energetic investigative reporter expose Mr. Bush for some of his corrupt acts. But then, I guess we already have had a few reporters do just that, but we didn’t listen. I’m not sure if Uranus and Jupiter will increase our capacity to care.
This aspect will begin on March 6 and will hit it’s peak on March 28, but because Jupiter will turn retrograde during this aspect it will not end until June 12. Most of it’s effects will be over by the end of March, but Mars will move to create a triangle with them from April 20 through April 26th. Mars is the planet of energy, and he will re-energize these guys. We will also have another aspect happening at that time between the Sun, Saturn, and Pluto, so we are already going to be feeling on top of the world. We may find that around Earth Day, some abrupt changes occur, again more on a community level. There will be a lot of potential for change, but some of us may prefer to party away the hours. After Jupiter finishes his retrograde and gets turned direct again, he will move to sextile Uranus again in November, and you can bet, I’ll be back then to talk more about this aspect.
Okay, now its time to look at our natal charts. Any planets or points between 16 and 21 degrees in Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius, hang on the ride could get a little rough, especially Gemini and Sagittarius. Uranus could send you guys some very unexpected upsets. Planets and points between 16 and 21 degrees Cancer and Scorpio could see a little more positive unexpected events than their Gemini and Sagittarius counterparts. Planets and power points between 14 and 22 degrees Aries and Libra may experience a loss during this time. But, planets and points between 14 and 22 degrees in Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo and planets between 16 and 21 degrees in Pisces may find that this aspect turns out to be a blessing in disguise.

February 6 and February 20, 2008
Eclipses usually come in twos, a solar and a lunar, but occasionally we will get three in a row. We have 2 sets of 2 eclipses coming in 2008, 2 in February and 2 more in August. We’ve had eclipses bouncing around in Virgo and Pisces for almost the past 2 years. We have one more on February 20, and then Virgo, Pisces, you are done with changes for about 8 years. This year it will be Leo and Aquarius living through the dynamic process.
Eclipses bring changes good and bad. Solar eclipses are usually new beginnings, and Lunar eclipses represent endings. Where these eclipses occur on our natal charts tell us how they will affect us personally. An eclipse is about 10 times more powerful than a full moon or a new moon. So, if you have a tendency to go ballistic on the full moon anyhow, you may want to check into the psych ward ahead of time (just kidding, but you get my drift). If the eclipse is near your birthday, there could be some big changes in store for you for the whole year following your birthday.
The solar eclipse on February 6 will have the greatest visibility from southern Australia and Antarctica, so if you have some extra vacation time and money, Australia would be the place to be. For the rest of us, it will feel like a very powerful New Moon, and you know what to do on the New Moon… Write that wish list. Wishes and goals are extremely powerful on the New Moon. This Solar eclipse in Aquarius will also be conjunct with Mercury in retrograde. Solar eclipses are for new beginnings, and Mercury retrograde brings up the past. It will be an excellent time to connect with an old friend, or maybe start doing something you used to do, like exercise. It is also an excellent time to launch a new business or a new project.
The lunar eclipse on February 20 will be visible for the eastern half of North America, and it will occur at 10:26 PM eastern time. Lets hope for a clear night, so we can watch it. Pluto will be shaking hands with our Sun-Moon opposition that night, and that means even more powerful transformations. The Moon with be in the earth sign of Virgo and the sun in watery Pisces. But, with Pluto in the mix, when we blend these planets, we will not get mud. We will get enlightenment. It will be a great time to make some healthy changes in our lives. Those of us in therapy, may find that we make some quantum leaps during this eclipse. It will also be a great time to destroy things. Ready to do some early spring cleaning? Some of us in rocky relationships will decide its time to call it quits. We may even quit that miserable job.
Now its time to look at your natal chart and see how the eclipses will affect you. The solar eclipse on February 6 will be at 18 degrees Aquarius. Any planets between 16 and 20 degrees in Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo, or Taurus, will find this eclipse rather stressful, but any planets between 16 and 20 degrees in Libra and Gemini will be more positively influenced. The lunar eclipse on February 20 will be at 1 degree Virgo. Any planets at 29 degrees in Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus, or any planets between 0 and 3 degrees in Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini are going to be stressed by the lunar eclipse. But, any planets at 29 degrees Sagittarius or Aries, or any planets between 0 and 3 degrees in Capricorn and Taurus will have a positive outcome. Also check your houses to see where the eclipses will be occurring. They will help determine what area of the of your life will be affected by the eclipses.

January 28, through February 18, 2008
Astrologers pay more attention to Mercury’s retrograde more than any other planet. When a planet is in retrograde, it appears to be moving backwards across the sky. Planets cannot change the direction of their orbit, they only look that way because the Earth is not the center of the solar system. All the planets except the Sun and the Moon go retrograde at some time, in fact, the outer planets are retrograde almost as much as they are moving direct. But, Mercury’s retrograde is the one we like to pay attention to, because it happens so often (3 - 4 times a year), and because it is so close to us.
Mercury will be doing his back swim in the unpredictable sign of Aquarius this time. Mercury in a normal situation in Aquarius can bring brilliant thoughts and unexpected shortcuts when traveling. But, with Mercury in retrograde, he’s going to make us think and travel to the past. Friends are important to Aquarius, so there is a very good chance on connecting with old friends. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, and he is the mad scientist, so some of us may find ourselves fixing things we should have fixed a long time ago. If your car or any machine you own (especially your computer) is due for repair, get it done before the retrograde starts. If not, Mercury could cause it to fail completely.
The most difficult periods during any planet’s retrograde are the times where it is changing directions. There could be some communication or transportation problems on January 28 while Mercury is at retrograde station, and on February 18 while he is at direct station. Leave yourself extra time and double check communications on those days.
Neptune, the Sun, and the Moon, will pass Mercury during his retrograde from February 2 through February 6. That could liven things up quite a bit. Ghost hunting becomes easier while Mercury is retrograde and Neptune is the ruler of the occult. These 4 days would be an excellent time to communicate with past over loved ones, and for psychic readings, especially readings about past losses. Want to find out if your ex is coming back? This would be an excellent time to ask. In fact this would be an excellent time for him/her to show up.
Mercury will be quiet on Valentine’s Day. He will still be moving backward, but he won’t be having any problems. Hopefully we will have lots of fun this Valentine’s Day, unlike last year when he turned retrograde on February 13th.
Mercury’s retrograde will be from 24 degrees to 8 degrees in Aquarius. Now its time to check your natal chart. Obviously if you have any planets between 8 and 24 degrees in Aquarius, this retrograde will impact you. If you have any planets between 8 and 24 degrees in Scorpio, Leo, or Taurus, there will be a few days that Mercury may curse you. If you have any planets between 22 to 26 degrees in Scorpio, Leo, or Taurus, the day of the retrograde station, January 28, could be especially difficult. And, if you have any planets between 6 and 10 degrees in the same signs, the day of direct station, February 18, may give you lots of problems. Look and see what houses Mercury will be traveling through in your chart to determine what areas of your life Mercury will enhance.

January 14 through January 28, 2008
Jupiter is the planet of good-luck, optimism, and expansion, and Saturn brings us discipline, family, and tradition. Trines are very positive in astrology, and aspects between Jupiter and Saturn usually last more than a year. Children born over the next two years may be somewhat materialistic. And, there may be problems with motivation, because they will usually find the easy way out. But, they will be trustworthy, and they will have strong family values.
The last time Jupiter and Saturn were trine was October 93 through September 94. The trine of 93/94 had three peaks occur where they were exactly 120 degrees apart. The first time was on October 12, 1993, and 3 days later on October 15, Nelson Mandela was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The second peak was on April 28, 1994. Richard Nixon died on April 23. And, the third peak was on August 28, 1994, the same day that Tiger Woods (at age 18) won the US Golf Amateur Championship. Jupiter and Saturn won’t be trine again until 2013.
Our present Jupiter and Saturn trine will continue through 2008, with 4 peaks. Today we will be looking at the second peak of this aspect, but I will return in August to discuss the third. Because we are looking at outer planets, we will find that they affect us more at a community level. Where this aspect is occurring in your transit chart will determine how it will affect you personally. Jupiter and Saturn will bring stronger family values to the forefront, just in time for the presidential elections here in the US. Jupiter is presently in transit in Sagittarius, and Saturn in Leo, fire signs. We may find our enthusiasm is tempered, but we will be looking for wise and just solutions for our communities. There could be a return to traditional religion, and we should see profits going up again. Jupiter will bring optimism, and Saturn will bring discipline, a very good combination. Jupiter in Sagittarius will want adventure, and Saturn in Leo will want to hold still. So, any corporate or government ventures will probably grow steadily, because they will exercise caution in the process.
Our second wave of the Jupiter-Saturn trine begins on January 14 and peaks on January 21. The only planet that will have any interaction with this aspect is the Moon, so unlike last time, this aspect will probably affect us much more on the governmental and corporate level. Profits should be steady and successful, and corporations will have farseeing visions. It would be a great time for long-term planning. Enthusiasm may be a bit more tempered, but in general people will be more trustworthy around this time.
Jupiter will range from 6 degrees to 9 degrees Capricorn, and Saturn in retrograde will travel from 8 to 7 degrees in Virgo. If you have any planets between 4 and 11 degrees in Pisces ,Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, Aries or Cancer, this aspect could be difficult. Earth signs and anyone with strong Saturn or Jupiter in their natal charts may find this aspect to be quite a blessing. If you would like more details on how Jupiter and Saturn will affect you personally, you can order a transit report.

November 1st, 2007 admin
November 15, 2007 through January 30, 2008
Mars takes approximately two years to orbit the sun (twice as long as the Earth), and he only turns retrograde about once every two years for about 80 days. The last time Mars was retrograde was October and November 2005. During that time Mars was retrograde in the methodical sign of Taurus, which generated some “bullheaded” behavior. This time he will be traveling in the sensitive sign of Cancer and then back into the scattered sign of Gemini.
Mars is the warrior and rules our energy and our sex drives, so while he is retrograde we may find that our goals and determination become a bit more ambiguous. New projects that require perseverance are likely to fail, because we may find we just don’t have the stamina. Also, we may find it difficult to work with others. During Mars retrograde we often get to witness our own self sabotage. We may find that we subconsciously prevent ourselves from achieving what we desire to do. We will also probably find that our willpower is low. Mars is not a patient planet, and he has a tendency to lose his temper.
Some may think that Mars in Cancer would be weak, because Cancer is such a feminine and emotional sign, but that is not the case. The energy goes to the emotions, and this can lead to arguments, disputes, and fights. While Mars is moving backwards through Cancer, we can expect our energy (and sex drives) will move like the tides, slowly ebbing in and out.
Mars will enter Gemini on New Years Day, January 1, 2008, and we may be thinking of making some New Year’s changes. But, we will hesitate, and vacillate, and think of reasons to delay. Write down your New Year’s resolutions, but don’t expect any progress before Groundhog’s Day. Mar retrograde in Gemini may add some zest to our sex drives, though, and it will be an excellent time to speak and communicate especially for our soldiers who died in the war. (Mars is the warrior and the veteran.)
The most difficult times will be 2 or 3 days before and after the stations. Retrograde station will be on November 15, 2007 and direct station will be on January 30, 2008. Mars retrograde will be from 13 degrees Cancer to 24 degrees Gemini. Check your natal chart to see which houses Mars will be affecting for you. Where Mar’s retrograde transit occurs in your houses determine what areas of your life that will be affected.
Also, check to see if Mar’s stations may be aspecting any of your natal planets. If you have any natal planets between 11 and 15 degrees Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, or Aries, the few days around Mar’s retrograde station (November 15) may be especially difficult for you. If you have any natal planets between 22 and 26 degrees Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces, the few days around the direct station (January 30) could bring problems.

December 1 - December 21, 2007
Jupiter takes approximately 12 years to orbit the Sun, so a conjunction between Jupiter and Pluto only occurs about once every 13 years. Jupiter rules expansion and Pluto powerful transformations. When these two get together, we don’t take ideas lightly. There is also a strong tendency for dramatic change, especially in our principals and our morals. Outer planets (beyond Mars) usually affect us at a subconscious level, and we are more likely to see changes in our communities rather than personally.
The last time Jupiter and Pluto were conjunct was November and December 1994. At that time in history, Norway voted against joining the European Union. The Beatles’ first album in 25 years, “Live at BBC” was released, which was made up of lost recordings of the Beatles’ radio performances. Man Mohan Adhikary was sworn in as the first communist premier of Nepal. PTL leader, Jim Baker, was released from jail. Orange County California filed for bankruptcy. A 5 meter meteor, 1994 XM1, passed within 100,000 km of Earth. And, Surgeon General, Joycelyn Elders, resigned after masturbation comments.
Last time they were hanging out in deep and sensitive Scorpio, and Mars (energy) was at a square (negative) to their conjunction, adding anger to the equation. This time they will be in the active and optimistic Sagittarius, and the Sun and Mercury will be joining their conjunction placing four planets on the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn. Planets on the cusps usually affect us more just because they are in transition, and the transition from Sagittarius to Capricorn is the process of ending the adventures for this season and preparing for hibernation. When the Sun crosses the cusp between Sagittarius and Capricorn we enter the first day of Winter. Its going to be one hell of a Winter Solstice this year with the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto all crossing together. (Actually Pluto won’t cross into Capricorn until January 26, 2008, but he will add a major influence to our Solstice celebrations.)
As this aspect begins we can expect some psychological improvements in ourselves and our environments. Enthusiasm will intensify, and some of us will be extremely inspired (hopefully our government officials or perhaps the corporation we work for). After Mercury and the Sun enter the conjunction, from Dec 18 through Dec 23, the aspect may become more personal. It will be an excellent time for travel, especially short trips, and we may notice a more noble and optimistic attitude in our familles and coworkers. We could reexamine our own issues, and come up with some excellent solutions. And, there will be “Peace on Earth and good will towards men.” You may want to thank Jupiter and Pluto this year for such wonderful holidays.
Jupiter and Pluto will conjunct at 28 degrees Sagittarius, so now its time to check your natal charts. The house in which this conjunction occurs in your chart will tell you what area of your life will be affected. Also if you have any planets between 26 degrees and 29 degrees in fire signs (Sagittarius, Aries, and Leo), or if you have any planets at 0 degrees in earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo), this aspect could be very pleasant for you. Enjoy, and Happy Holidays.
