Pluto – One Last Dance, Then Off to Work |
June 14 – November 26, 2008
I don’t talk much about Pluto transits, because Pluto is a very slow outer planet that takes about 250 years to make one orbit around the Sun. Pluto is in retrograde motion almost as much as he is moving direct, but this Pluto retrograde is special. This will be Pluto’s last adventure in Sagittarius for our lifetimes, and our children’s and grandchildren’s lifetimes. And, its all happening just in time for the 2008 presidential elections.
Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth, and he digs deep to uncover secrets. I wonder how our elections will turnout? Presently we are seeing more documentaries and news programs exposing the truth about the voting corruption in the 2000 presidential elections. Also, we are being educated about the decisions made in the White House, the CIA, and the Military concerning our involvement in the war in Iraq. When planets are on the cusps between signs, they are the most touchy. Pluto has been in Sagittarius since 1995, but now (2007 and 2008), as he crosses into Capricorn, is when we are seeing the big flare-ups.
Pluto actually left Sagittarius and entered Capricorn back on January 25th, but he turned retrograde in April and is now moving back into Sagittarius for the last time. Its time for one last dance, one last adventure, before Pluto moves to a more serious focus. Sagittarius loves to laugh and wander, but Capricorn represents hard work and discipline. Pluto’s last few months in Sagittarius may bring us to a higher awareness, especially at a community level. A few heroes could emerge as Pluto traverses his eleventh hour in Sagittarius, and we may actually rescue ourselves from some of the government corruption that has been going on since Nixon. We may decide to stand up and take responsibility for our governments.
Pluto will enter Capricorn just a few months before our next president will take office. The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was in the 1760′s and the 1770′s. Capricorn represents authority figures, and Pluto brings destruction and rebirth — the American Revolution. There was also the French Revolution and the establishment of Napoleon as a modern dictator. I wonder how Pluto in Capricorn will affect our next president and congress? Don’t forget to vote!
Obviously, Pluto will be at 29 degrees Sagittarius throughout most of this transit, so its time to look at your natal chart. Any planets or power points at 29 degrees (plus or minus 2 degrees) in Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini, or Virgo will be dealing with endings and beginnings. If you have any planets or power points at 29 degrees (plus or minus 2 degrees) in Aries or Leo, you may find you are able to make powerful changes in your life at this time.

Well, my Jupiter is at Sagittarius 29.03 Retrograde. Given the past few years, and the disaster of a life I have, it would be nice to see something going right for a change.
I won’t hold my breath though…
Good Luck on the broadcast medium! Given the times, I am surprise more Astrologists, Numerologists and others of that realm don’t branch out into radio, podcast, internet and what not… maybe they do… I just don’t hear them on the mainstream radio channels or even, Coast to Coast.

Pluto aspects with one’s natal planets usually last about two and a half years, So your problems of past few years were probably due to Pluto conjunct your Jupiter. Its almost over.
Thanks for the comment on my radio show. Hope to talk with you sometime.

No problem. Good to see (or hear) people move forward with new ops. in their life….
I realize it is never easy to go ahead with such things.
I’m not a firm believer in horoscope thoughts, however, it seems other things tried are not exactly a path either…
Like your site.

Intriguing connections to the larger world and elections.
My Sun is at exactly 29.55 degrees Sag.. and I’ve been trying to figure out what this transit means for me. It’s in my 9th house, if that’s of interest.
It’s been a very challenging year, but mostly to do with family and not me..
Thoughts?

Alice, the 9th house is long distance trips and higher education. With Pluto at a conjunction to your natal Sun there, you may find you are engaging in passionate conversations about contraversal issues. If you take any long trips during this time, there is a greater chance that you will be vicitmized in some way, like robery. You may also be feeling a bit more paranoid than usual. We would have to look at your whole chart to determine if your family issues are being caused by Pluto.

Oopsies, my Pluto is in Virgo and 29.26 Retro
Am already in the pits with a divorce, no job and other false court issues pressed on by a rash wife.
Wonder if things will go further downhill now.

SK, you are dealing with Pluto square Pluto, and this happens to every one around the age of 40. Its time to get rid of things you don’t need anymore (like a bad partner). Pluto likes to destroy, but he also rebuilds. You may just meet the person of your dreams before 2009 is over (and get ready for the best sex of your life).
The house your natal Pluto is in, the house pluto is presently in transit in, and your house that begins in Scorpio will all be affected.

I have Pluto in the sky opposing my natal mars at 29 Gemini, my natal venus at 25 gemini and my north node at 00 cancer. What does this mean for me?
September 10th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
Sorry Sparrow, I forgot to mention, my natal mars venus and north node are all in the eighth house. Thanks. By the way, I love your site.

Hey Jessica G, now we are looking at an outer planet aspecting 2 inner planets (Venus and Mars). The north node is a minor point, and it is a slow moving point, so it, like the outer planets, affects us more on a generational level. But, Pluto opposite your Venus and Mars, Oh My!
And… in the 8th house, Pluto is the ruler of the 8th house.
Pluto aspects last about 2 1/2 years, but you are not going to have 2 1/2 years of total misery. But, you may feel this deep pulling or anxiety prodding you to make some changes in your life.
Pluto and Mars both rule sex, so the Pluto Mars opposition may be increasing or decreasing your sex drive. The 8th house also rules other people’s money, and Venus is our loved ones. There is a possibility you may lose someone you love during this transit, and receive an inheritance.
There could be some money changes ahead for you in general, Jessica. You may want to consider purchasing a transit report.
Goodluck,

Love your website! So clear and articulate!!
I spread the word to people regarding some of the transit info you put on your site.
I will have transiting pluto trine my natal moon at 4 35′ Virgo in the 2nd house and conjunct my natal neptune at 3 37′capricorn in the 6th house.
Friends seem to come and go and I have been remembering my dreams often
Oh and I don’t know if this matters but I was born on a neptune, about to go retrograde, station point and the moon is the singleton (handle) of my bucket chart.
Any input would be very helpful
