Jupiter Joins the Game Packing a Concealed Weapon |
May 13th – Oct 11, 2010
In my article Big Trouble in the Outfield, I forecasted nightmares and frustration as Saturn tugged on Uranus and Neptune through most of this Spring. Jupiter is going to join the game just as Saturn and Uranus are winding down their plays, and before he is finished, he will bring Pluto up to bat with a loaded bat. Some of us may end up knocked all the way out into the bleachers, before this summer is over.
Jupiter’s voyage through Pisces will bring him to join the Saturn-Uranus opposition as he opposes Saturn and then conjuncts Uranus in May and June. Then, as he leaves Uranus, he will move to a square with Pluto that will begin late in June. Then in July Jupiter will be in retrograde, while still squaring Pluto, and Saturn and Uranus will come back for the last peak of their opposition. In August, while Jupiter and Pluto are still square, Saturn will move ahead to oppose Jupiter and create a T-square with Pluto. Squares are bad. Oppositions are kind of bad. Conjunctions can be bad or good depending upon the planets and circumstances. And, T-squares are the worst.
Now, to put it in English… From about mid May through mid June, we could be down on our luck and our ambitions may be flat, but there could also be some unexpected good fortune, including improvements in our mental health, especially in June.
But, as June ends and July begins, we should notice that people (especially governments and corporations) will be trying to “persuade” us to change our beliefs to the point of coercion. There could be threats and attempts to control others. We will also have 2 eclipses occuring on June 26th and July 11th, which could bring changes and challenges. After so much economic struggle, and then changes coming to pass, it may be difficult for some of us not to fall into apathy.
This controlling behavior may fade a bit later in July, but an underlying tension will be floating about. This may cause accidents, and some will even become defiant. The controlling, persuasive, and coercive behavior will be back with a vengeance in early August and continue through most of the month. We may start doubting ourselves and actually believe some of the propaganda, and there will also be hidden and very dangerous circumstances popping up around us, including thefts and man-made disasters. These problems could focus in the areas of marriage and partnerships, career, and our own bodies.
Life will begin to return to normalcy in September. Jupiter will still be in retrograde, but he and Uranus may send us some blessings throughout the month. (And, I stress “may.” With Uranus involved, it could be positive or it could be negative. Uranus is unpredictable.) We may get some unexpected help, or maybe just some really great insight.
Normally at this point in my articles, I tell people to get out their own natal charts and see how those aspects will affect them. But, these aspects are more complicated than most, so this time I recommend you contact your favorite astrologer for an analysis.
Jupiter will turn direct and pass Uranus again later this year, but it won’t be nearly as dramatic, because he will aspect each planet individually instead of as a group. So, hold on to your hats, it could be a dramatic summer.

Enjoyable read.
These situations really go me interested in astrology on a grand level as well as a personal level. Uranus going into Aries seems to me a unpredictable deal – leadership (I think) with Uranus’ never-dull flare.
From my own chart, I can see how (or maybe why) I have had the difficulties in my own path.
A nearly perfect T-square of Venus, Pluto, Jupiter with Pluto in my 6th house in Libra. Outlet maybe in the 12th? Old karmic debt? – as my relationships in life are never easy, the few I ever have. A wide stellum in the 5th (Mercury, Leo, Mars) could I balance it across in the 11th since I have a barren top left and early house area? No answer needed, just out loud questions.
Saturn straddles 2nd/3rd by less than .1 of a degree. And I have major issues in both.
I mention these because for the other readers, astrology is not something I live by, but find more intriguing as I marry it with other things I collect together.
Today, for example, my mother had bought a new converter box for the TV. (No cable.) One of many cats (15 in total, yes IT is an ISSUE) did a bad thing to it. No longer works.
She’s 58, and in crisis: Saturn. Mercury retrograde also a factor. Her sister, 59, in the same boat – as they live together. Financials are killing them – codependence their ruin.
I unfortunately have tried to change them. Alas, I have my mistakes-errors, and I have to grow from them. But something tells me, astrology, such as Sparrow’s readings, can assist, if only for therapy.
I apologize for not being brief. I am a writer, and always have something to say. (And a Leo too.)
