General Tendencies for All Sun Signs
Astrology Synopsis for July 2020
Changes Leading Us Into July
Mars entered his home sign of Aries on June 27th. And, he will remain in Aries throughout the rest of 2020 (because he has a long retrograde coming this Fall). Mars in Aries is going to insist that we act on our convictions and goals.
Jupiter and Pluto (both in retrograde) came to the peak of their 2nd conjunction on June 30th. This created a sense of urgency and a renewed balance of our mental and emotional health.
Then Saturn (in retrograde) returned to his home sign of Capricorn on July 1st. Power, order, and stability will be a priority for most. Emotional security and inner peace will also be important.
These three planets will set the tone for early July. Events over the last few months have been very complex. And, it's likely we will strive to make sense of all of this. We need to reexamine our values and our plans.
July 5th Eclipse
The eclipse on July 5th will take place on the Cancer-Capricorn axis (the critical 13th degree). This could really make us question how to balance our need for security and our need for freedom. How much corruption do we have to witness before changes are made? Can we see our own contributions to the spread of the virus, either directly or indirectly? It will be time for some soul searching.
Merc Retro Ends July 12th
Mercury will be turning direct on July 12th having done his whole retrograde in moody Cancer. Hopefully we will begin to return to our logical sides. Mercury won't exit his retrograde storm until July 19th, then signalling a readiness to look ahead.
Cancer New Moon July 20th - Let's Get Started
The Cancer New Moon on July 20th will be the time to start those new projects. In fact we'll have about seven weeks of positive energy to set many of our new ideas into motion. But, the best time to start any of those activities will be between the new and full moons. Initiate when the Moon is waxing. Reevaluate when the Moon is waning.
Optimism and Creativity Unite
Jupiter and Neptune will be shaking hands from July 9th through the end of the month, with their energy peaking on July 27th. Jupiter is the amplifier, and Neptune is the great humanitarian. Its going to be a great month for artistic projects (including the flowerbed) and helping others. Neptune also rules healers and caretakers. So, there's a chance that all the people involved in fighting COVID-19 will get some extra help.
In August Mars, the god of anger and energy, will be, in his home sign of Aries, squaring off with our outer planets transiting Capricorn (Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto). So we could hit one hurtle after another spaced about ten days apart. Check back next month to find out more.
